We are on our way! Reached the Port Aransas jetties by 4:30 pm. Saw Betty Ann and friends as we left the jetties. Jerry misses her already. Dolphins joined us on our way out. Raised sails and averaged about 5.5
knots. Set a course for 110 degrees and seas are 4-6 feet. We are Southbound!!!!!!!

After a good night, big moon, few clouds, wind about 20 knots, we anticipate the coming of the cold front. Try to maintain couse of 110 although winds are South East. Noon , winds picked up, gusting to 24 knots boat
speed up to 7 knots. We’re moving now! And in the right direction too!!! Winds light, seas calm and a beautiful full moon lighting our way.

2am winds are from the S.E. Shortly after 4am front hits with 35 knot winds from the North East, It was !&*%^!@! blowing! Maintaining 8 knots with surges up to 9.5 knots. 2 hours later ripped the main sail at a
seam near the head. All Hands On Deck!!! We lowered the main, sailed with just the yankee and staysail, and still maintained over 8 knots. 6pm, Brady does dinner, good spaghetti. 10pm- 25 knots hammered to the
South, can’t maintain our desired course. Seas 8-10 feet. Hard to do anything but do our 2 hour watches and sleep.

Jerry says Brady’s lookin good. Oh CRAP! Took first cold shower!!! There is significant shrinkage. Took Jerry’s mind off Brady. Ha! Ha! 518 miles into trip, 230 left til Isla Mujeres.
