Happy New Year!!!!!!!!
Today we will motor into the marina to restock our fuel and water supply. Afterwards we will spend the rest of our day celebrating the
coming of the new year. Probably have another good story to tell tomorrow! Ha! Ha! Ha!

We all had a great time last night ringing in the New Year. Front blew in with rain and wind gusts up to 25 knots. OK! Brady here! Enjoyed the late night life again solo searching for all the mayhem and
debauchery I could find. I found tooo much. Discovered the dance they call “Punta”. Let’s just say it’s not ballroom dancing! Tired.... .must.....get........sleep.............zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

All I can remember is we went to the Holiday Hotel, our hang out in San Pedro, and drank some beers. Front still bowin’ wild and we are searching the town for eggs.

Friends and family from Rockport/Fulton returned home. We did the same as usual, hanging out with new friends and strolling the town.

FOUND EGGS! Hoist anchor at 2:00 and motor ten miles south to Cay Caulker. On our way we run aground several times. Jerry and Brady climb out on to the boom trying to get Chiriga off the bottom. Finally get off
the ground with us on the boom and raising the staysail. Decide to anchor for the night and start fresh in the morning.

Scout day! Brady scouts the shallow waters in the dinghy dropping a measured weighted line trying to find a passage for Chiriga to Cay Caulker. After 2 hours of scouting and laying improvised coke bottle marker bouys
we make our way into Cay Caulker around 2:00pm. We celebrate cheating death again by jumping ship and enjoying a night of Belikin beer and karaoke. Captain is still sad there are no Lone Stars to be found. Some
dumbasss said “We could live like kings on $50 a month.” YEAH RIGHT! More like $50 a day!

A wonderful day of snorkeling around the coral reef, which is the second largest in the world. Return to Caye Caulker for dinner and to fight off the flies and mosquitos.
