Land HO! Reached Isla Mujeres at 2:20pm. Front hit at the same time drenching us. Visibility was poor but we were able to tie off at the dock no problems. Met the crew of the Talisman, Frank, Jack and Harold.
They helped us get into our slip. Nice bunch fellows. Also met Marika, a beautiful girl from Holland hopping from boat to boat trying to join crews and see the world. We hit the town for conch ceviche and cervezas.

We wake up to start our day checking in at customs and immigration. Spend the day cleaning the boat then some snorkeling over the side. Lots of barracudas, parrot fish etc. Water is 82 degrees, crystal and
turquoise. Meet Frank and Harold from the “Talisman” for too many drinks on the beach at Buho’s. Captain whizzes “Zabor” into the sand.

Rent golf cart and cruise the island. Go to Southern point to visit the Mayan ruins at Punta Sur. It is said that Isla Mujeres (Island of Women), was where the Mayan people took their young girls to stay until they
reached puberty away from men. When they reached puberty they were guaranteed to be virgins. They were then ritualy sacrificed to the Gods. It was considered a great honor to the families to have their daughters
chosen. Now the island is overrun with tourists. Dammit! Brady is sad there are no virgins. Brady met an incredible family from Norway. Great conversations and got lost in the eyes of Camilla. I Hope we stay in
touch. I miss you guys already.

Sail Day! Prepare to leave for Ambergris Caye. Departure questionable..... Brady said goodbyes to new friends Camilla, Paul and family and sailed by them on the beach. Adios Mehico! Hello Belize!
